Important Message from UTS Union Ltd.
On Thursday, 28 April 2005, the National Union of Students will be conducting the National Day of Action (NDA) at campuses across the country. This is a response to VSU legislation tabled by the Federal Minister of Education, Science & Training.
All Sports and Activities Clubs & Societies are invited to participate in this event, with the Club that makes the most impact on the day (ie, numbers of members, dressing up in uniform [eg, Science students, Skiiers, ethnically based clubs in national costume, AFL players, you get the picture]) being awarded a prize of a couple of hours tab at the Glasshouse Bar.
Activity in inner-Sydney will see Sydney Uni students start on their Front Lawn, march down our way, pick up UTS students at approx 12.40 and head back to Sydney Uni, with a party at Manning House to conclude the afternoon.
We need all Sporting Clubs to support this so that’s where we need you as Club executives to pass this message onto your members. VSU IS A VERY SERIOUS AND REAL THREAT TO THE FUTURE OF YOUR CLUB! We need as many Club members to be involved in the NDA, to give the Coalition the clear message that VSU is wrong and will have a major negative impact on University Campus life.
