Glory to Womens 3rd Grade - Victors over Gordon-North Shore in the Sydney Womens Hockey League Div 4 Grand Final
Congratulations to the team and coach James Telfer, for a magnificent effort in defeating Minor Premiers Gordon-North Shore. It was a pulsating game of hockey, with UTS twice coming back from a goal down to tie the scores, the final equaliser coming just 10 minutes from the end of regular time. After 2 periods of golden-goal extra time, the score was still locked at 2-2 (goals scored by Jocelyn Arnold and Nicole Davies).
So a trip to the penalty spot was required to find a winner, and our girls prevailed 3-1 in the shoot-out, sparking wild scenes of jubilation! Many thanks to the huge turnout of supporters for their enthusiastic and vocal support!
