Indoor Hockey Round-Up
Congratulations to our Mixed B1 and B2 indoor teams, for winning their Grand Finals last week! A mighty effort, 2 close games, played on the same night as the semi-finals. Well done to all players!!
Women’s B Grade also reached their final, but fell short against Moorebank. Our Men’s and Women’s Premier League teams, as well as our other Mixed B2 team, also reached semi finals.
In the Juniors, our 2 u15 teams BOTH reached the final, and declared themselves joint-premiers.
All up, 8 of our 11 teams reached semi finals – a tremendous effort, and another awesome indoor hockey season for UTS!!
UTS Union Club of the Year Award
After a great season across the club, UTS Union has awarded us with the Club of the Year Award, which was jointly awarded with UTS-Norths Athletics Club. This is a tremendous achievement, and recognises the effort of all players, managers, coaches and executive, as the award is based not only on performance, but overall club management and services offered to students. A hearty congratulations to everyone for their efforts this season!
Half-Blue Award
Congratulations to David Spence, for winning a University Half-Blue sports award, following his selection in the Uni Games ‘Green and Gold’ team a few months back in Melbourne.
