Australian Indoor Hockey Team Announced
UTS First Grade co-captain and current UTS student David Spence has been selected in both the Australian Indoor Hockey team, and AIS Indoor Hockey Squad, to tour Europe this upcoming northern winter.
The AIS squad will be training and competing in Cologne, Germany, from December 8-21. After this, Dave will join the National team in Moscow on 27 Dec, for the commencement of a series of test matches across Eastern Europe against Russia, Poland and the Czech Republic.
Dave has been an important member of the UTS 1st Grade team for the past 4 seasons, both on the turf and the boards. He was also named captain of the NSW u21 side, that will shortly compete at the National Championships in Adelaide.
Dave will keep us informed of results and progress during his travels, and upon his return home on January 13.
