2010 Mens Veterans Rep Teams

This should be read by all players that are considering playing rep vets but do not play in the veterans comp ie those 35 yrs to 40yrs. We have a few players in that age group now.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 2010 REPRESENTATIVE SEASON

Hi Guys,


Although it is only a few weeks until we commence the 2010 Vets Hockey pre season, I now have some important information for all clubs and teams in relation to the 2010 NSW Veterans Representative Championships Calender and the formal nomination process / requirements (both Officials and Players) for those interested in representing Sydney at any of the respective Age Championships.



The details of the 2010 NSW Championships are as follows –



Dates Locations Age Group

(Friday – Sunday)



26-28 March Illawarra Over 55’s / 60’s 2 Sydney teams have been entered (A and B Division)

30 April – 2 May Grafton Over 50’s 1 Sydney teams have been entered (A Division)

28-30 May Sydney Over 45’s 2 Sydney team has been entered (A and B Division)

25-27 June Bathurst Over 40’s 2 Sydney teams have been entered (A and B Division)

23-25 July Sydney Over 35’s 1 Sydney team has been entered (A Division)

Officials – includes Selectors, Umpires, Coaches, Managers, Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist

Action Required



Would any players (particularly those who are interested in the Over 55 / 60’s where the closing date is 1st March) who wish to be considered for Sydney representation in 2010 forward the required Nomination Forms strictly before the indicated deadlines outlined below.

Important Note – Every player MUST include their Hockey NSW Player Registration Number (to be provided by own Club or Sydney Vets will provide for Vets Only players) when completing their nomination form as it is a specific requirement for NSW Men’s Veterans Hockey Committee – No number then NO selection



Other Information



The individual costs for participating in the Championships will be approximately –



Officials

All accommodation will be paid for the Officials (ex Selectors) by Sydney Vets Hockey Association with an agreed travelling allowance (to be advised depending on where the individual championship is held) and no cost attendance at team dinner



Physio and Massage Therapists will also be paid an agreed professional fee to cover their services for 3 days of the Championship



Players

Players will be required to meet a team fee of approx $125 to cover playing fee, physio and training. All accommodation, individual travel to / from Championships and attendance at a team dinner will be for all players own cost.



Note – accommodation has been / will be arranged in advance for all teams by the Sydney Veterans Hockey Association Representative Co-ordinator.

Tuesday 23rd March at Homebush (Olympic) – 9-30 -10.30pm



Over 50’s Grafton Friday 30th April to Sunday 2nd May



Nomination Forms for Officials are required to be returned by Friday 26th March



Nomination Forms for Players are required to be returned by Friday 19th March



Selections will be completed by Monday 29th March



Team Training Tuesday 13th April at Homebush (Olympic) – 9-30 -10.30pm

Tuesday 20th April at Homebush (Olympic) – 9-30 -10.30pm

Tuesday 27th April at Homebush (Olympic) – 9-30 -10.30pm



Over 45’s Sydney (Homebush) Friday 28th to Sunday 30th May



Nomination Forms for Officials are required to be returned by Friday 30th April



Nomination Forms for Players are required to be returned by Friday 23rd April



Selections will be completed by Monday 3rd May



Team Training Tuesday 11 May at Homebush (Olympic) – 9-30 – 10-30pm

Tuesday 25 May at Homebush (Olympic) – 9-30 – 10-30pm



Over 40’s Bathurst Friday 25th to Sunday 27th June

Selections will be completed by Monday 24th May
